It is about 0I Km from Ruhunu Safari Village turn-off (Turn-off the Yala main tarred road when you see the sign board of “Ruhunu Safari Village” – It is a right turn) and is situated about 400 Mtrs away from the Sea. Governors Camp is located 7 Kms away from the Yala National Parkentrance.The facilities at Governors Camp include:-Ten single beds with mattresses-One double bed with mattress-canvas camp beds available on request-Fly sheet (Tent) that sleeps 8 available on request-12 pillows-A secure room-Kitchen with a gas stove and a firewood stove-Gas BBQ (Iron slate & grill)-Full time cook, cleaner and gardener on site-Two toilets (One open to sky)-Twin showers (Open to sky)-Hot water on tap-7,000 Ltrs of water on site for general use-380 Ltrs of filtered/bottled drinking water on site (Water Mart)-Solar lighting system and two solar lanterns-Crockery and cutlery for 12 persons-10 Mosquito nets and a mosquito net for the double bed-Black and white TV-CD/Cassette/ Radio-Dialog and Cell-tell reception is availableRecreation:-Sea and lake fishing (Pls bring your own fishing line or rods)-Nature walk/jogging track (Within the premises or along the beach)-Sea bathing-Wildlife Safari - Yala (7 Kms to the Yala entrance)-Bird watching-Board games-Beach Volley Ball-Cricket-Carom-Tree house – Kids only-Sand pit – Kids only
